Stephanie Berkson, Vice President, Population Health

In her role as Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Planning, Stephanie provides overall administration, direction, coordination and evaluation of the day-to-day planning functions and activities of the Wisconsin operations of UW Health. She is also responsible for the direction and management of enterprise-wide strategic planning that leads to sound strategic and tactical decision-making in support of the mission, goals and objectives of UW Health.


Stephanie began her career at UW Health in 2008 as Quality Improvement Manager in the Department of Family Medicine. In 2010, she transitioned to UW Medical Foundation as the Quality, Safety and Innovation Director; in 2012 she was promoted to Delivery System Innovation Director for UW Health and accepted the additional role of Vice President and Secretary of the UW Health ACO. Since 2014, Stephanie has served UW Health as the Vice President of Population Health.


Prior to joining UW Health, Stephanie worked at NY Harbor Healthcare System with the Dept. of Veteran Affairs, NYU Center for Health & Public Service Research and The Commonwealth Fund. She holds a Master's of Public Administration, Health Policy & Management and a Bachelor of Arts - Biology from New York University.
