Harvest of the Month: Crockpot Rhubarb Applesauce
- 3 apples, chopped
- 1 lb rhubarb, cut into 2-ince pieces
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1 tsp pure maple syrup or honey
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Pleace ingredients in crockpot and stir.
- Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours.
If you prefer a smoother texture, you can mash or blend if desired.
