About

Pamela Lang, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric orthopedic surgeon. She cares for children with bone, joint and muscle conditions. She specializes in treating sports injuries, including broken bones, ACL injuries and joint dislocations. Dr. Lang also is an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

It’s important to Dr. Lang to educate her patients and their families on what to expect before, during and after surgery. She shares as much information as possible about the first few weeks after surgery and what recovery will look like. Dr. Lang explains injuries and treatments in a way that the kids can understand, which helps them feel like they’re part of the team.

As a former athlete, Dr. Lang understands the desire for a patient to return to the sport they love. She supports her patients and cheers them on through their injury and recovery until they can get back on the court or field.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Lang has qualified twice for the Boston Marathon, and she also enjoys traveling.

My hope for each of my patients is that their injuries don’t hold them back from doing what they want with their lives.
