Dai Yamanouchi, MD, PhD, is a vascular surgeon at UW Health and a associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Surgery. He treats conditions that affect the veins, arteries and lymphatic system.
Dr. Yamanouchi specializes in performing minimally invasive procedures using advanced surgical techniques and leading-edge medical devices. He works closely with patients to understand their lives and define their goals. This allows him to create a personalized treatment plan. He takes time to answer questions and explain conditions, treatment options and what recovery may look like in terms they can understand.

Dr. Yamanouchi's research interests include the pathogenesis of abdominal aortic aneurysm and restenosis after angioplasty, including balloon angioplasty and stenting. He is also devoted to the development of novel materials for vascular bypass graft and gene delivery methods to treat patients who suffer from peripheral arterial disease.
