Yew-Xin Teh, MD, is a UW Health endocrinologist and a clinical assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. Dr. Teh treats conditions that affect hormones and the hormone-secreting glands, including the thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands. She also treats patients with metabolic bone disorders.
Dr. Teh takes time to get to know each of her patients individually, so she can understand them as a person and develop a personalized treatment plan to best meet their needs. She strives to explain medical conditions and processes in straightforward terms that her patients and their families can easily understand, so they can feel comfortable and confident with their care.
Dr. Teh’s clinical interests include thyroid and parathyroid disorders, fine needle aspiration (FNA) biopsies, diabetes, endocrinology and osteoporosis. Dr. Teh is also a member of The Endocrine Society.
Outside of work, Dr. Teh enjoys spending time with her kids, reading and playing the piano.
My hope for each of my patients would be that they genuinely feel that they are heard and cared for.
