Overview
What this transition means for patients
Marshfield Medical Center–Beaver Dam will become part of UW Health on November 1, 2026.
Patients will continue receiving care locally while gaining access to UW Health specialists, services and resources.
Primary care, specialty care, inpatient care, emergency care, pharmacy services, skilled nursing, assisted living, senior apartments, residential apartments and Meals on Wheels will transition to UW Health. Home health and hospice services will transition to UW Health Care Direct, a wholly owned subsidiary of UW Health.
If you are a current patient of Marshfield Medical Center-Beaver Dam, you do not need to take action at this time. Continue attending appointments, seeing your providers and using My Marshfield Clinic as usual.
