Dr. Venkat Rao is a professor in the Department of Surgery, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Division of Plastic Surgery and is a member of the UW Health Breast Center.
He completed his MBA at the University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, a Master of Surgery at University of Madras, India where he also earned his medical degree. Dr. Rao also completed a fellowship in hand surgery at the University of Kentucky, Louisville, KY and a research fellowship in Microsurgery at S. Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, Australia.
Dr. Rao specializes in breast surgery including breast reconstruction. His research interests research interests include breast reconstruction and outcomes in cosmetic surgery.
