About

Taylor House, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric nephrologist. She specializes in treating infants, children and adolescents with kidney problems, including blood in the urine, high blood pressure and kidney stones. She also provides expert care for more complex kidney diseases requiring dialysis or a transplant.

Dr. House has advanced expertise in pediatric palliative care. She emphasizes a “whole-person approach” and focuses on meeting kids and families where they are, listening to them and making sure they feel understood. She uses what she learns in these conversations to develop a personalized care plan that best fits their lives.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. House is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Nephrology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Her research focuses on developing communication tools to help children with kidney disease communicate effectively with their medical teams.

In her free time, Dr. House enjoys reading, baking and traveling. She is an animal lover and enjoys hearing stories about her patients' pets.

I enjoy working with children and their caregivers to make a positive impact on their long-term health.
