About

Tatyana Risch, NP, is a nurse practitioner at UW Health. She specializes in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and pulmonary complications associated with lung cancer and lung transplants.

In addition to caring for people with COPD and the chronic effects of lung cancer or lung transplants, Tatyana treats patients with a range of other breathing conditions such as pulmonary emphysema, pulmonary nodules and sarcoidosis. She also provides preventive care, including lung cancer screenings and evaluations for Zephyr valve placements (used for advanced therapeutic treatment of COPD).

As a firm believer that listening is at the heart of quality care, Tatyana builds relationships with her patients based on trust and shared decision-making. She connects on a personal level to learn about their experiences and find treatments tailored to their individual needs.

When she is not at work, Tatyana stays active hiking and swimming with her three children and two dogs.

I find it very fulfilling to help improve people's quality of life by educating them on their disease and empowering them to improve their breathing.
