Suraj Bopanna, MD

Suraj Bopanna, MD, is a UW Health pulmonologist who cares for patients with pulmonary (lung) and critical care needs. He specializes in interventional pulmonology (lung health) and performs procedures to diagnose and treat a range of complex lung disorders and breathing disorders.

Dr. Bopanna treats patients who have lung cancer and lung diseases, including pulmonary fibrosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (diseases that cause breathing problems due to lung scarring). He also sees patients with asthma, bronchiectasis (inflamed lung airways) and pleural effusion (fluid buildup in the lungs).
