Sumer Wallace, MD

Sumer Wallace, MD MS is a gynecologic oncologist at UW Health and an Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She treats patients with pelvic and gynecologic cancers, including cervical, endometrial, fallopian tube, ovarian, uterine, vaginal and vulvar cancers.

Dr. Wallace cares for patients throughout their entire cancer journey. Her care philosophy is to provide as much information as needed to empower her patients and work with them to determine the best care and treatment to meet their needs and goals while maintaining focus on quality of life. She strives to provide comprehensive, collaborative, and often multi-disciplinary, care for all patients. Dr. Wallace specializes in the surgical and systemic treatment of gynecologic cancers, with focus on surgical advances in robotic surgery.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Wallace is Director of Quality and Patient Safety in Gynecology in the Department of OB/Gyn, where she focuses on streamlining the processes within her field to ensure patients receive the best care possible. Her research focuses on healthcare outcomes and delivery as well as quality improvement.
