About

Stephanie Fossum, NP, is a UW Health Kids nurse practitioner in pediatric immunology. She treats children whose immune systems are weak or don’t function as they should. One of her special clinical interests is caring for patients with 22q deletion syndrome, a chromosomal disorder.

In her role, Stephanie advocates for children and guides their families through complex medical decisions. She makes patient care a team effort, where everyone has space to share their needs and concerns. By having open discussions, she ensures patients receive the right treatment to improve their quality of life.

Stephanie understands that visits to the clinic can make patients and families feel nervous. She builds trust and eases any fears upfront to make appointments a positive experience. Her goal is to leave families feeling confident about their child’s care.

A Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Primary Care (CPNP-PC), Stephanie also holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), an advanced nursing degree.

Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. You can also find her at her at a local farmer’s market, in the pool or lost in a good book.

Teamwork is a big part of my practice. The best outcomes happen when we make decisions together. That includes patients, families and the entire health care team.
