About

Shelley Parrell, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner who specializes in family medicine. Shelley provides care for patients of all ages, from newborns through older adults.

Shelley diagnoses and treats a variety of acute or sudden illnesses and minor injuries. She also helps patients manage chronic (long term) conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetes and bone, muscle and joint disorders.

Shelley collaborates with the entire health care team, communicating with her patients’ doctors and other care providers to keep them informed about changing conditions and care needs. Shelley takes a patient-centered approach to care, getting to know her patients and families so she can provide preventive education and guidance to help them make informed decisions about their health and health care.

In her free time, Shelley enjoys crafting, spending time with her children and staying engaged in their school activities and sports. She also enjoys hiking with her family and dog.

Every patient should feel heard, cared for and comfortable with their treatment plan. It’s rewarding to have a meaningful impact in their lives.
