About

Scott Reid, DO, is a UW Health vascular surgeon. He provides surgical care for patients with conditions affecting their blood vessels, including the veins and arteries.

Dr. Reid treats a wide range of vascular conditions that require surgery, including narrowing and blockages in arteries outside of the heart, aneurysms (enlarged blood vessels), leg pain and ulcers, varicose veins and carotid and aortic aneurysmal disease (weakening of the arteries).

Dr. Reid believes in shared decision-making and treating patients like family. He takes time to carefully explain diagnoses and answers patients’ questions before providing recommendations and treatment options. By educating his patients, he gives them the ability to make informed decisions about their care. He also encourages them to discuss decisions with family and friends or get a second opinion.

In his free time, Dr. Reid enjoys golfing, skiing, being outdoors with his dogs, watching the Chicago Cubs and Bears play and spending time with his family.

I want us to be a team, deciding your treatment plan together.
