About

Sara Grimes, NP, is a UW Health family nurse practitioner in family medicine. She provides comprehensive health care for babies, children and adults.

Sara diagnoses and treats illnesses, such as flu, strep throat and other common infections. She cares for minor injuries and ongoing medical conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, heart problems and arthritis. She sees patients with mental health concerns and helps them get the care they need.

Sara also offers routine physicals, well visits and sports screenings.

During visits, Sara works to build trusting relationships with her patients and their families. She teaches people about their medical conditions and how to lead healthy lifestyles that include good nutrition and physical fitness. Her goal is to help patients achieve their best possible outcomes and live full, active lives.

Away from the clinic, Sara loves to travel with her husband and six children. She also enjoys painting, scrapbooking and cooking (when she doesn’t have to do the dishes).

I was inspired to pursue a medical career after my quadruplets were born prematurely. They overcame their issues during a long NICU journey. My heart is in health care.
