About
Ryan Gallagher, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant specializing in sports medicine. He works with patients of all ages, helping them recover from injuries and improve their mobility through personalized care and treatment plans.
Ryan sees patients ranging from young adolescents to older adults for conditions involving the knee, hip, and shoulder. He treats injuries such as ACL tears, meniscal tears, rotator cuff injuries, and joint pain. He performs knee injections and works closely with surgeons and physical therapists to provide comprehensive care.
Ryan believes in listening closely to his patients and involving them in every step of their care. He takes time to explain treatment options and ensures patients feel comfortable and informed. His goal is to personalize care based on each patient’s lifestyle and needs, helping them return to the activities they love.
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, and walking his dog. He also likes playing sports and staying active, which helps him connect with patients who are eager to return to their favorite activities.
I feel really strongly about doing everything that I can to get patients back to doing the things that they love.
