About
Dr. Robert Hegeman is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative care and a member of the UW Health Breast Center. He is director of the general hematology and oncology group, oncology outreach and the One South Park brand of the Carbone Cancer Center.
He specializes in general medical oncology, and sees a wide range of patients, including breast, colon, lung, prostate, kidney, bladder, and hematologic cancers (myeloma, leukemia and lymphoma). He has a special focus in adrenal carcinoma and melanoma. He also sees some benign hematologic patients.
Dr Hegeman earned his medical degree from University of Kansas School of Medicine, Kansas City, KS. He completed his residency and a chief residency year at Medical College of Wisconsin, Wauwatosa, WI and his fellowship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics, Madison, WI. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
