About

Becky McConnell, PT, is a physical therapist at UW Health. A certified pelvic rehabilitation practitioner, she specializes in the treatment of pelvic floor disorders for women, men and children.

Becky treats a range of conditions, from pelvic pain and dyspareunia (painful intercourse) to bladder and bowel conditions such as urinary and fecal incontinence, constipation, urinary urgency and frequency, voiding dysfunction and enuresis (bedwetting).

She also works with women experiencing pelvic floor pain and dysfunction during and after pregnancy and post-surgical patients who’ve recently had a prostatectomy (prostate removal), HoLEP procedure (laser prostate surgery), cancer-related surgery, pelvic reconstruction and vaginoplasty (vagina repair or construction).

Using a team approach to deliver patient-focused, comprehensive care, Becky works closely with surgeons, medical oncologists, obstetrics/gynecologists, primary care physicians and other providers.

Becky loves working together with her patients to determine their goals for recovery. She feels listening to the details in their story helps determine the source of the problem and the underlying issues.

I love teaching my patients about what is going on in their body and providing them with individualized information and strategies that allow them to take control of improving and managing whatever the pain or problem may be.
