Peter Stadmeyer, MD, is a UW Health gastroenterologist and an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Stadmeyer cares for people with pancreas, biliary (bile duct) and general gastrointestinal (GI) disorders, including diarrhea, constipation and abdominal pain.

Dr. Stadmeyer’s specializes in pancreatic and biliary disorders. He takes the time to get to know each of his patients and their struggles. Dr. Stadmeyer enjoys making his patients feel at ease during procedures such as endoscopy or colonoscopy. He takes time to explain the procedure and strives to help ease his patient’s anxiety. Dr. Stadmeyer enjoys working with patients over time and seeing them improve.

Outside of work, Dr. Stadmeyer enjoys cycling, going to farmers’ markets and cooking with his wife.

I wanted to enter the health care profession to try and help people improve their daily quality of life.
