About

Oresta Rule, MD, is a general pediatrician at UW Health and is an assistant professor in the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and the Division of Neonatology and Newborn Nursery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. In addition to her pediatrics practice, Dr. Rule is also a newborn hospitalist at UnityPoint Health-Meriter.

As a pediatrician, Dr. Rule cares for children and adolescents from newborns to young adults. She treats a wide range of illnesses and works with families to promote optimum well-being for each child. She has a special interest in newborn care, lactation, preventative medicine and the impact of nutrition on health.

Dr. Rule believes that the most effective care comes from partnering with patients and families. She provides researched treatment while empowering parents and caregivers to lead the decisionmaking process for their child.

Valuing the opportunity to make a positive difference in her patient’s lives, Dr. Rule was drawn to pediatrics in order to give children the best possible start in life.
