Nathan Riggins, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner specializing in orthopedic surgical care. He treats patients who are having surgery for orthopedic conditions, which affect the muscles, bones, joints and supporting tissues. These can range from injuries to arthritis of the knees, hips and other joints.
Nathan has advanced training and certification in caring for patients 13 and older, including geriatric care for elderly patients. He evaluates, educates and guides patients before and after surgical procedures such as total hip and knee joint replacements.
In his free time, Nathan enjoys fishing, seasonal outdoor activities and woodworking, including furniture and cabinetry.
Whether my patients are limited by injuries or age-related conditions such as arthritis, I enjoy helping them have less pain, move more freely and get back to activities they love.
