Melissa Allan, MD

Melissa Allan, MD, is a UW Health internal medicine physician who provides general health care to adult patients. Dr. Allan is also a faculty member in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

As an internist, she treats a variety of conditions, including upper respiratory infections, pain and chronic health problems like diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity. She also provides health screenings and other preventive care.

Dr. Allan prioritizes her patients and strives to understand what is important to them. She encourages open communication with the goal of creating a positive relationship with each patient. She is thankful to follow her patients over many years. It’s important to Dr. Allan that she works alongside her patients to help them develop a healthier lifestyle.

In her free time, Dr. Allan enjoys sewing and spending time with her children, husband and pets.
