Meghan Brennan, MD, MS, is an infectious disease doctor at UW Health and an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine, Department of Medicine. She treats viral, bacterial, fungal and infectious diseases.
Dr. Brennan's clinical specialty is treating patients with diabetic foot ulcers. She coordinates treatment with a team of specialized clinicians whose goal is to heal the wounds and help patients walk again. Dr. Brennan takes time to listen to her patients’ concerns. To relieve their stress, she is transparent about care expectations and works with them to implement treatment.
Always looking for new ways to prevent above-ankle amputations in patients with diabetic foot ulcers, Dr. Brennan conducts research focused on ways to improve the healthcare system to prevent these amputations, particularly in rural parts of the country.
The most rewarding part of taking care of my patients is seeing them walk on two feet.
