Megan Yarrington, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant. Megan specializes in endocrine conditions such as thyroid, parathyroid and adrenal disorders, thyroid cancer and other thyroid diseases.
Megan consults with new patients who are typically referred by their primary care doctor or a provider in areas such as urology or orthopedics. She takes a medical history and provides physical exams and testing to diagnose hyperparathyroidism and other thyroid disorders. For surgical patients, Megan provides pre- and post-operative care, as well as long-term follow-up care for more complex conditions such as thyroid cancer.
Megan wants all her patients to be well-informed. She explains each diagnosis to her patient, addresses their concerns and offers personalized medical or surgical treatment options to fit their needs. She informs people about the risks and benefits of each approach and educates them about surgical procedures in order to help them make informed decisions.
I like seeing patients before and after surgery and through follow-up care when they feel a lot better. It’s rewarding to see the improvements in their health.
