About

Megan Lutz, MD, is a UW Health gastroenterologist. She treats patients with chronic gastrointestinal (GI) conditions. She specializes in inflammatory bowel diseases such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.

Because inflammatory bowel diseases are lifelong conditions, Dr. Lutz spends a lot of time getting to know her patients on a personal level. Understanding her patients’ day-to-day activities and lifestyle allows her to tailor treatment plans to reach their goals.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Lutz is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Her research includes ways to improve the quality of care for people living with inflammatory bowel disease.

In her free time, Dr. Lutz enjoys spending time with her family.

My hope for my patients is that they get the best care possible and that they find me to be an approachable and caring provider.
