McKenzie Poetzel, CAA is a UW Health certified anesthesiologist assistant. McKenzie is an essential member of the anesthesia care team, contributing to safe, efficient and high-quality patient care before, during and after surgical procedures.
Working under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist, McKenzie provides a preoperative assessment, anesthesia administration, intraoperative monitoring and after surgery care. CAAs are trained in the latest anesthesia technologies and evidence-based practices and enhance the delivery of anesthesia services.
