Maxfield Flynn, MD, PhD, is an endocrinologist at UW Health and an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Medicine. He treats a full-range of endocrine (hormone) conditions, including adrenal and pituitary disorders, thyroid disorders, diabetes, male hypogonadism and gender-affirming hormone therapy.

Dr. Flynn’s clinical interests include managing thyroid nodules and thyroid cancers. Skilled at performing thyroid biopsies to determine malignancy, he works with patients from diagnosis through treatment and recovery.

Dr. Flynn enjoys combining his interest in research with patient care. His philosophy is to continue learning about the latest diagnostic and care techniques and then sharing that information with his patients to improve their health and wellness.
