Matthew Morris, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant in orthopedics.
Matthew examines and treats patients with injuries and movement disorders involving the bones, muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons. These include acute (sudden) issues such as broken bones or sports injuries. He also cares for people with chronic (long-term) conditions like arthritis.
Matthew believes surgery should be a last resort. He initially offers noninvasive treatments like physical therapy, medications and joint injections.
Matthew carefully explains his patients’ conditions and answers their questions. He reviews their nonsurgical and surgical treatment options to help them make informed decisions about their health. Matthew assists patients during their recovery. He aims to reduce pain and support them in returning to their favorite activities.
Outside of work, Matthew enjoys spending time with his kids and coaching youth basketball and baseball.
The most rewarding part of caring for my patients is watching them leave my office feeling much more comfortable than when they arrived.
