Mara Terras, MD

About

Mara Terras, MD, is a UW Health internal medicine doctor and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Terras provides preventive health care services for adults aged 18 and older.

She helps her patients manage chronic health conditions, including diabetes and high blood pressure. Dr. Terras also provides acute health services for patients who suddenly develop a new symptom or problem.

Dr. Terras has a special clinical interest in mental health care. She believes there is a strong connection between a person’s mental and physical health. Dr. Terras was drawn to the field of internal medicine because it allowed her to develop strong long-term relationships with her patients. She enjoys seeing her patients flourish over time and successfully overcome the obstacles that life brings their way.

Outside of work, Dr. Terras enjoys staying active, cooking and gardening.

I enjoy seeing people over the course of their lives, serving not only as their doctor but also as a coach and mentor.
