About

Maggie McClurg, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner who specializes in dermatology. Maggie diagnoses and treats patients for a variety of skin conditions. She sees patients with acne, rashes, eczema (inflamed, irritated or itchy skin), warts and other skin diseases and disorders. Maggie performs skin cancer screenings and biopsies to help prevent, diagnose or treat skin cancer.

In addition to skin biopsies, Maggie performs office procedures such as steroid injections and cryotherapy. She uses a cold liquid nitrogen treatment for warts and other skin conditions, such as benign (noncancerous) or precancerous growths.

An active listener, Maggie addresses every question or concern. She educates patients about their condition and treatment options while developing care plans that meet their goals. Maggie encourages collaborative relationships with her patients and motivates them to take an active role in their care. She helps patients improve their overall health and wellness.

In her free time, Maggie enjoys arts and crafts, outdoor activities and spending time with friends, her children and family and the family dog.

I like to interact with and care for people. It’s rewarding to see my patients succeed and improve their own health.
