About

Lauren Gilbertson, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner specializing in internal medicine.

Lauren provides primary health care services for adult patients. She treats acute (sudden) health concerns, ranging from sports injuries and skin problems to viral infections like colds and flu. She also cares for patients with chronic (long-term) conditions, including hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetes and high cholesterol.

Lauren offers preventive health care services such as routine screenings, mammograms and colonoscopies. She performs in-office procedures, including IUD insertions and skin biopsies. With a clinical interest in women’s health, she supports women throughout their journey from young adulthood to menopause.

Often a lifelong partner to her patients, Lauren looks forward to connecting with people at every stage of life and health. Above all, she understands the importance of being on the same page. She takes time to listen to her patient’s concerns and works with them to make decisions about their care.

Outside of her work, Lauren enjoys spending quality time with her family.

I strive to make every patient feel comfortable and in control. As their teammate, I look forward to building a lasting connection and always doing my best for them.
