About

Lauren Jerzak, NP, is a nurse practitioner at UW Health. She treats a wide variety of conditions in adult patients. These can range from ear infections to ankle sprains and back pain.

Lauren evaluates and treats acute and chronic diseases and works with patients to improve their overall health and well-being. She helps patients manage chronic conditions such as asthma and diabetes and refers them to specialists, as needed, to evaluate and treat certain symptoms or diseases.

Lauren centers her care around each patient’s goals, preferences and values. She especially enjoys helping people who are traditionally overlooked within some health care systems. They may struggle with nonmedical factors that affect health and treatment outcomes. These can range from financial setbacks to language barriers that make it difficult for patients to meet medical goals and manage their health.

Outside of work, Lauren likes to spend time with her family and friends enjoying a wide variety of activities. She participates in triathlons and follows and supports her children's athletic activities.

I help patients to get healthier so they can enjoy their ideal quality of life — whether that’s to go hunting, attend their grandchild’s wedding or just to be able to move and play with their kids. It's really about their goals.
