About

Laura Huffman, MD, is a UW Health gynecologic oncologist and an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She cares for patients with cancers of the gynecologic (female reproductive) organs.

Dr. Huffman diagnoses and treats patients with vulvar, vaginal, cervical, uterine and ovarian cancers. She offers various treatment options, ranging from medications like chemotherapy to more complex surgical procedures. She also provides end-of-life care for patients with terminal cancer.

Dedicated to helping people navigate their journey with cancer, Dr. Huffman looks forward to building life-long relationships with patients and their families. She understands the stress cancer causes. Dr. Huffman strives to ease her patients’ fear through communication, education and shared decision-making. She collaborates with social workers and mental health providers to ensure all patients' needs are met.

In her free time, Dr. Huffman enjoys trying new foods, traveling and playing with her dog.

My goal is to ensure that each of my patients feels heard, supported and confident in the care they are receiving.
