Kristyn Hare, PA is a physician assistant at UW Health. Kristyn manages and treats osteoporosis as part of the UW Health Fracture Liaison Service (FLS). People with low-impact (fragility) fractures get personalized care through the FLS. It focuses on helping broken bones heal while also preventing future fractures.
Kristyn runs an outpatient clinic dedicated to treating and educating people about how osteoporosis and osteopenia (low bone mass) affect health and wellness. She also cares for people considering elective orthopedic surgery such as joint replacement or spinal fusion.
Her clinical roles include assisting with fracture risk assessment, patient education, management and coordination of care, including follow-up services. She also provides inpatient consults for patients with fractures related to orthopedic surgery for traumatic injuries.
I chose medicine to work in partnership with my patients to enhance their health. I believe in taking a well-rounded, multispecialty approach to improve bone health in adults.
