About

Kristin Harkins, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner who cares for people with heart rhythm disorders. She works as part of the cardiology care team to evaluate, diagnose and manage conditions that affect the heart’s electrical system.

Kristin cares for patients with a variety of arrhythmias (abnormal heartbeats), including atrial and ventricular fibrillation (rapid, irregular heartbeats), atrial flutter (rapid, regular heartbeats) and tachycardias (an abnormally fast heart rate). She also cares for patients with abnormalities involving the heart’s natural pacemaker, known as the sinus node.

Kristin believes in patient-centered care and takes time to understand each person’s concerns, health needs and goals. She partners with her patients to help them understand their condition, explore treatment options and take an active role in managing their heart health.
