About
Kimberly Vidmar, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric endocrinologist and an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She cares for children and teens with hormone related conditions.
Dr. Vidmar treats a wide range of concerns including obesity, diabetes, growth disorders, thyroid problems and puberty issues. Her work also includes efforts to improve care for children and adolescents by expanding fair access to diabetes technology, improving how clinics run and creating new education programs for patients, families and health care teams.
Dr. Vidmar chose pediatric endocrinology because it allows her to build long-term relationships with patients and families while working in a field with new treatments and technology. Her care is guided by empathy, respect and person-centered care. She aims to meet each patient and family where they are, listen closely and partner with them on a plan that fits their goals, values and daily life.
Outside of the hospital, she enjoys spending time with her husband, son and dog while exploring new parks and activities around Madison.
