Kimberly Hoppe, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner specializing in anesthesiology and pain management. She works with hospitalized patients and patients who receive treatment in a clinical setting. Kimberly cares for a wide range of acute (sudden) and chronic (long-term) conditions.
Kimberly provides port placement for chemotherapy infusions and drain placement for abscess (pus buildup) or postoperative fluid collection. She also does nephrostomy tube (urine drain) placement for urinary obstructions (blockages) and liver-directed therapy for liver cancer. In addition, she provides uterine artery embolization (procedure to block blood vessels) for abnormal uterine bleeding.
Kimberly believes in empowering her patients with knowledge about their health and any procedures they may need.
I help patients understand their medical condition and the procedure they are facing to minimize their anxiety.
