About

Katie Kessler, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant in interventional radiology.

Katie is part of a procedure-based team that performs minimally invasive procedures to treat disorders ranging from uterine fibroids and pelvic congestion syndrome (chronic reproductive pain) to liver cancer, pulmonary (lung) conditions and various bleeding conditions. She may also place a drain in parts of the body, like the liver or kidneys, to help it work better or insert a feeding tube or vascular port. She has a specific clinical interest in women’s health and liver cancer treatments.

Katie’s care philosophy is to be present and listen to what her patients say. She takes extra time to educate her patients on their conditions and the prescribed treatments. Her goal is to ensure that everyone is on the same page before the procedure begins.

Katie has seen firsthand how the minimally invasive techniques she uses have a considerable and positive impact on her patients’ lives. She enjoys seeing her patients at follow-up visits and hearing how their symptoms have significantly improved after treatment.

Medicine is always changing, and UW Health is on the cutting edge with new technologies and procedures, so I’m constantly learning and growing.
