Kari A. Esser, MS, CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist at UW Health. She works with adults who have impaired language or cognitive skills due to a variety of neurological conditions. These can include stroke, brain injury or progressive diseases, such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's disease.

As a speech-language pathologist, Kari works with her patients to focus on improving speech output, language comprehension and expression, attention, memory and executive function (the ability to organize tasks, manage time and regulate emotions).

With great compassion, Kari works to make each patient feel confident, comfortable and motivated to return to therapy. Her ultimate goal is to help every patient live a happy, functional life.
