About

As a physician specially trained in emergency medicine, Joshua Glazer, MD, leads a team of expert health care clinicians who treat people with illnesses or injuries that could be life-threatening or pose an immediate risk to their health and well-being. Injury or illness can be caused by disease, infection, stroke, heart attack, or bodily trauma, and may include symptoms such as fevers, vomiting, bleeding, shortness of breath, dizziness, weakness and pain. He speaks with patients, obtains lab tests and imaging, such as X-rays to diagnose the injury or illness and provides necessary treatment.

Whether it is a life-threatening event, such as a heart attack, or a condition needing rapid treatment, such as pneumonia, Dr. Glazer attentively and compassionately listens to all patients to understand their health care needs and provide the most advanced medical care available.

Dr. Glazer’s main research interests focus on real-time risk-stratification of critically ill patients and novel methods of leveraging electronic health record data to facilitate rapid identification of patients with occult life-threatening illnesses.
