About

Joseph McMahon, MD, is a pulmonologist and critical care medicine doctor at UW Health. Dr. McMahon cares for adults with various lung disorders, breathing problems and sleep disorders.

Dr. McMahon sees patients who experience shortness of breath or coughing and patients with abnormal chest X-rays or CT scans. He diagnoses and treats lung disorders such as asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Dr. McMahon takes time to listen to his patients’ concerns and review related information from their referring providers. He works with patients to put together a personalized treatment plan, adjusting as needed to progress them toward their health care goals.

The most rewarding part about taking care of patients is seeing them begin to feel better.
