About

Dr. Mietchen is a pediatric neuropsychologist and assistant professor with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He specializes in cognitive and neuropsychological evaluations for children and adolescents with a broad spectrum of medical disorders, developmental delay and academic challenges. His clinical interests include pediatric cancers, pregnancy and birth complications, prematurity and early birth injury. 

Dr. Mietchen is passionate about teaching and helping others understand the importance of neuropsychology and the role it plays in diagnostic clarification, prognosis and treatment of cognitive disorders. This carries over into his research that focuses on understanding cognitive outcomes in childhood medical and neurological conditions.
