Jonathan Fliegel, MD

Jonathan Fliegel, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatrician who specializes in providing care to hospitalized children. He’s also an associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Fliegel diagnoses and treats infants, children and adolescents who are hospitalized with an illness or injury. He works with other doctors and specialists to coordinate care and communication for patients, families and care teams. Dr. Fliegel offers specialized care for patients with complex conditions such as new or rare nervous system disorders and multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C).

Combining his interest and expertise in science and pediatric medicine, Dr. Fliegel solves diagnostic puzzles and collaborates with experts to provide comprehensive care.

Outside of work, Dr. Fliegel enjoys music and singing, and likes to discover new songs, artists and musical styles.

I enjoy children and families, and I find meaning in serving them by listening closely, applying the best evidence to their care, and meeting patients and families where they are.
