Jonas Lee, MD, is a family medicine doctor at UW Health and an associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He provides care to patient of all ages for a full spectrum of health conditions, including substance use disorders.
As a family medicine doctor, Dr. Lee finds the combination of science and working with people fulfilling. His care philosophy is to get to know patients personally in order to learn about their lives beyond their medical issues. This allows him to take better care of his patients.
In his free time, Dr. Lee enjoys working outdoors and building his eco-friendly home. He likes fishing, chopping firewood, making maple syrup, working in his vegetable garden and finding new ways to live off the land.
When I was in college, I loved the sciences and discovered that I liked learning more about people. Going into family medicine was an easy decision at that point.
