John Hokanson, MD, is a UW Health kids cardiologist and a professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Pediatrics.
Dr. Hokanson cares for children with a full range of pediatric and congenital (present at birth) heart conditions. These include structural issues, arrhythmias, infections and inflammation. He also sees patients in the adult congenital heart disease program.
Dr. Hokanson has a special clinical interest in screening heart disease in infants and children, echocardiography and exercise physiology while his primary research involves the detection of critical congenital heart disease in newborns.
