John Floberg, MD, PhD, is a UW Health radiation oncologist (cancer specialist). He's also an assistant professor in the Department of Human Oncology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Floberg uses medical therapies, radiation and advanced imaging, such as MRI and PET scans, to diagnose and treat cancer.

He specializes in genitourinary (urinary tract and reproductive system) cancers, including prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular cancers. He treats all stages and types of cancer.

Taking an integrated approach to care, Dr. Floberg collaborates with urologists, medical oncologists, pathologists and other specialists. He offers the latest treatments, including precise radiation drug therapy. He also provides MRI-guided radiation and other treatments.

Dr. Floberg puts patients first, understanding how stressful cancer can be for patients, families and others. He helps them understand their diagnosis and treatment options. He involves patients in their care, helping them achieve their best health and quality of life.

Dr. Floberg also researches advanced imaging and radiotherapies to improve care for prostate cancer and other cancers.

Outside of work, Dr. Floberg enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, canoeing, paddling and fishing, as well as cross-country and downhill skiing.
