About

Jo Wilson, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric allergist and immunologist and an instructor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Wilson diagnoses and treats children with a wide array of food and drug allergies and immunologic disorders such as asthma and atopic dermatitis, or eczema. She has a clinical interest in working with children who have recurring infections (both viral and bacterial) and uncovering the reasons behind their predisposition.

Dr. Wilson takes a team approach to patient care. She partners with patients and families to design personalized care plans that everyone feels comfortable implementing. She works to address the issues that are most important and impactful to the patient and their family and offers education to help them make informed decisions about their care.

Drawing motivation from her clinical practice, Dr. Wilson is involved in research that focuses on asthma in preschool-aged children, specifically what causes it and what causes it to worsen.

New to the area, Dr. Wilson and her family enjoy exploring all that Madison has to offer, including hiking trails and great places to eat.

My hope for each of my patients is that we reach the best quality of life possible for them.
