About

Jessica Tischendorf, MD, is an infectious disease doctor at UW Health. She treats a full range of infections in adults, including hospital-acquired infections, bacterial skin infections (cellulitis) and urinary tract infections.

Dr. Tischendorf’s clinical interest is caring for patients with acute illnesses in the intensive care unit or hospital.

Her care philosophy is to share decision-making with her patients to find the most effective and best-suited treatment plan for their lives.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Tischendorf is an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Disease.

Her research focuses on medical education and exploring bias in the graduate medical education experiences of women trainees.

In her free time, Dr. Tischendorf enjoys knitting, crocheting, baking and spending time with her family.

Seeing people go from the brink of death to returning to their families and their work is incredibly rewarding.
