About

Jessica Rock, MD, is an anesthesiologist at UW Health. Dr. Rock specializes in caring for patients giving birth at UnityPoint Health-Meriter where she provides patients with spinal procedures, epidurals or general anesthesia.

Dr. Rock entered the medical profession because she enjoys working with people and applying her expertise in physiology and physics.

Dr. Rock is the director of anesthesiology at the Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment Center where she provides care to patients who are undergoing surgery for fetal conditions during pregnancy. In June of 2022, she received the Non-UW Faculty award from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health for exemplary teaching of medical knowledge, technical skills and clinical judgement.

During her personal time, Dr. Rock enjoys raising her children, reading, knitting, crocheting, gardening and baking.

With obstetric anesthesiology, I have the opportunity to design specialized treatment plans that provide individuals with relief from fear and pain as they deliver their babies. I am grateful and honored for the trust that patients and their families place in me, and I strive to give them the respect and dignity they deserve.
