About

Jessica Nowak, NP, is a nurse practitioner at UW Health. She treats adults with a wide spectrum of heart conditions and has a special interest in cardio-obstetrics – a subspecialty within cardiology focused on the prevention, early detection and management of cardiovascular disease in pregnancy.

Jessica works with both men and women experiencing chronic and acute heart conditions ranging from high blood pressure (hypertension), high cholesterol and atrial fibrillation to coronary artery disease (CAD) and heart failure. When working with cardio-obstetric patients, she treats women with pre-existing or new heart conditions who are pregnant, trying to become pregnant or are postpartum.

Jessica values personal connection and takes time to get to know her patients beyond their medical conditions. She then partners with them to create a personalized plan that fits their specific needs, goals and lifestyles. Seeing her patients regain their health and get back to the things they love is what she finds most rewarding.

Outside of work, Jessica enjoys playing soccer, traveling, cooking and spending time with her family.

Treatment shouldn’t be generic. It needs to be patient-specific and individualized.
